Familias Latinas Unidas (FLU) and Virginia Avenue Park invite you to the annual La Posada celebration:

La Posada is a Mexican tradition that commemorates Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, where they seek lodging or a “posada” at different inn’s but are repeatedly turned down until they reach Bethlehem. Santa Monica like many communities in greater Los Angeles, Mexico and Latin America celebrate this tradition.

Gather at 5 pm in front of the Pico Branch Library.  Procession starts at 5:30 pm. 

Come celebrate with live music and refreshments.  Bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the entertainment.
